Welcome to the official website of the Clarence Community Recreation Corporation (CCRC) and the Clarence Rinks at Eastern Hills Mall. CCRC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a focused mission on building and operating an ice rink facility in the Town of Clarence NY.

The CCRC has develop a comprehensive plan to design, build, finance and operate a two-pad, state-of-the-art ice rink facility known as Clarence Ice Rinks at Eastern Hills Mall, with ZERO tax payer subsidies. You may read the complete proposal here.

Some highlights of the Clarence Rinks at Eastern Hills Mall include:

  • Significant economic benefit to Town and surrounding areas.

    Independent study concludes $11 million economic impact during construction and over $500,000 on-going annual economic benefit from project.

  • Zero tax payer subsidies required

  • Provides another venue for the Clarence Community to gather. Many beneficial programs in addition to hockey.

  • Open skating, senior skates, women's leagues, community rooms, Recreation leagues, summer inline, community events and much more.

  • Eastern Hills Mall to donate land

  • Shovel ready site with most of infrastructure in place. Existing parking, access roads and site utilities to be used, significantly lowering the capital requirement needed.

    Rink will be attached to mall and will be situated in back of mall between JC Penney's and the movie theatre.

    Eastern Hills Mall is one of the largest taxpayers for the Town.


  • Two ice pad facility to be built utilizing municipal bond financing

  • Municipal financing drastically lowers interest and principal payments due to much lower interest rates and longer payment terms.

     

  • CCRC to operate facility and use funds from operations to satisfy bond payments

    Not for profit status will allow donations to be accepted with tax advantages for the donors.
